30 minute before work card

So...for a few minutes before I had to get ready for work I decided to put my chores I didnt get done this weekend aside just to let my creative juices flow.  So, I put on palladia (I have digital cable it is in my hd stations), sat down at my desk and went to town.
For this card I gained some insperation from DCWV Cafe Mediterranean stack.  I really wanted to use a sheet of papertrey ink clear cardstock.  The sentiment on the card was of course from Pink by Design.  The paper I stamped the sentiment on was of course from papertrey ink.  They have adhesive white paper that I just couldnt live without.  For the flower I used my gypsy and walk in my garden.  I know flowers like this are kind of one of the hot new things, so I wanted to put my twist on it.  A lot of tutorials I have seen suggest a brad or eyelet.  I simply used some tape runner by elmers and adheared the flower together after I distressed it with some brown ink, and added a colorbok gem in the center.  I must say I am in love with this card!  I hope you enjoy!!!

1st Blog Award, and a bunch of other stuff!

Thank you to NancyDiane for my first blog award!  I just found out tonight (even though you posted to me on 3/6).  So, I decided to reach out and snag some of my fellow circle members who don't post often, but have fabulous blogs!

The Liebster Blog award is given to bring newer blogs into the light. It's a great way to share blogs that might not otherwise have been noticed and should be!

As recipient you must share the love and pass it along to others. As well as these four things:

1. You must post on your blog and tell a little about the award and announce your 3-5 picks.

2. Let those know you have chosen them.

3. Copy and post the award on your blog for all to see.

4. Have fun and continue to inspire

Here are the blogs I have chosen:

I am so happy to announce the 5 people I have chosen for this award!

Congrats to those ladies!  I cannot wait to see what other things you come up with!!!

Happy Birthday T-ma!!!!!

Today is Nick's mom's birthday.  I made her a card and sent it but couldn't post until I knew she got it!  So here is a picture of it.   I used the butterfly from gypsy wanderings, all paper from recollections (even the card portion), I sprayed some glummer mist on the green backing, pink by design stamps and voila!
Hope you enjoy!

My first vinyl.

I am posting from my phone so please be patient!  This was my 1st attempt at vinyl.  Not bad if I do say so myself!  The cut is from the newest circle member cartridge...cricut everyday.  I was so happy to see this phrase.  I have a grandmother who use to quilt.  She has unfortunatly stopped because of the progression of ALS.  She use to have a wonderful sewing room.  One sign that I always loved in there was "She who dies with the most fabric wins!"
I love the color and look that came with this and for my itty bitty scrap spot this was the best place.  Next project is the two canteens that are here.  I think we are going to put the key lime vinyl on Nick's, and white on mine.  I plan on decorating my cricut too.  I think I just found a whole new addiction!!!

Hope everyone enjoyed this quick post.

Well I know I posted it on FB but I should really...

Keep this up to date too....

I have been working on some things, just haven't had the chance to really get it all photographed and uploaded.

So since we celebrated Valentines Day yesterday I wanted to share a picture of my amazing boyfriend and I and my other little valentine, my son, Owen.
Owen and Piglet at this year's meet the characters for the 114th Winter Carnival

My love, Nick and I at his cousin's wedding in September.  (I need an updated picture of him and I since I have lost well over 60 lbs since this picture was taken-still one of my favorites though!)

Now to move on to some things I have made and have picked up since Jan 9th when I last posted

Card I made as a request
So I got the MS score board from M's for 50% off.  I stopped in to my LSS and got the Tattered Angels mat, and some tattered angels glimmer mist.  I picked up some break cleaner and re positionable glue for the magic trick by Sarah PinkCricut.  The Art store right here in town had a "cleaning out the back room sale and I picked up some chalk, and some ink.
I also picked up 2 wooden stamps out of that sale, and some prismacolor markers.  Remember that $9.99 cricut cart sale?  Well I got to my M's later than I had planned on and was able to get 2 carts, jubilee and simply sweet.  Because of 2 choices I had at M's for that sale, I had to spend the extra and I got Savory from WM.

In case you don't know, Oh My Crafts is a fantastic shopping website.  I got the cuttlebug dies and folders from there.  I am very excited to say I am the proud owner of some Pink by Design stamps, and you can see them there.  Under the PBD stamps I invested in my first packs of Papertrey Ink paper.  I got white cardstock and Clear cardstock.  I also picked up some of the tag sticker's from papertrey ink.

The other two stamp packs you see there were from M's.  I was excited to see those for like $5/pack when I got them because I wasn't sure if I'd have the $ to order some stamps from Pink By Design.  I also picked up that Valentines stack.  I like it, but I wish I would have got my hands on the v-day one by DCWV.

and the very last little toy is hiding in there...my your story :)

I made this card trying to channel in spring.  I am tired of winter!!!!

I just noticed that the coin thing and the little turning knob is missing off this card, but it was there.  and I'll tell you what, this one was a pain in the butt to make!!!!  But I still fell in love with its look!!!

Alright, well it is almost 11 pm here-I'm gonna get myself ready for bed and all comfy in time for Chelsea Lately.  Good Night everyone I hope you enjoyed!

Some goodies from 2010 and on to 2011! :)

Since my life has been quite chaotic the past week and I am just getting to this now....

Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!

I hope all of you and your famlies had a fantastic holiday and rang in the new year in style!  This year was our first night attending First Night, and lemme tell you what, it was a BLAST! Minus the strep that decided it was a good idea to play in my body!! ARGH!  Anyway, I have been trying to keep up with the TONS of people I follow in the papercrafting and bariatric world, but holiday time it is def tough!  Soooo. I have held off on posting some more creativeness I did.  I have decided while I have a little bit of time and with no distractions it would be a fabulous time to post these new creations!!!

Snowflakes Card:
Christmas Cartridge (solutions)
Stickles
Rope Ribbon from the Christmas Ribbon Michael's had on sale
Peachy Keen Stamps:  Everyday Face Parts and Funshine Faces Face Parts
Bazzill basics card stock for the card
 Noel Card:
Red cardstock (background):  Bazzill Basics
Gold cardstock and red patterned cardstock:  DCWV 'Tis the Season & Christmas Comb stacks
Ribbon/Gold twine:  Creative (Michael's)
Xmas Red Stickles
 When life hands you limes.....
Lime and letters from Cherry Limeaide (Lite Cricut Cartridge)
Lime green Stickles
Peachy Keen Stamps:  Everyday faces

Inside the card reads (in green ink) Make a Margarita!! Happy Birthday!!
I kind of kicked myself in the pants after doing this one because I should have done a pink background for the card and instead of the top layer of the Owl being blue I could have done pink...for Valentines day, but here is the finished product of this one....

Owl cut from the Cricut using Cindy Loo
"Owl always love you" cut from Gypsy Font
on the blue part of the Owl I used some Waterfall colored Stickles.
The brown and green on the Owl I had in my seperate pieces of paper, and the green card was from Card of the Month Club.
The white paper and the blue paper is Recollections from Michael's.  The white is shimmery when you take it out of the package which I just LOVED!

It JUST struck me that I don't have any pictures of the other 2 clipboards that I made.  I will have to take pictures of them and put them on here.  I really hope to get my rear in gear and make some more things really soon!!!

My goal for this year is to get more creative and post more often and perhaps get on one of these design teams that people have going!!!

Well that is all for now!  Enjoy!
